You may renew library materials as long as there are: 1) No outstanding fines on the item(s); and 2) No holds or recalls are placed on the item(s).

To renew any item(s), bring your IU Library borrower's card (i.e. your Cougar card if you are a student, faculty, or staff) and the item(s) to the Circulation/Reserves service desk in the library. We will also accept phone renewals during library hours as long as you're able to provide your library card number, name, address, and individual item details (the barcode number on the item may be required). To renew items via phone, please call us at (765) 455-9513.

IU students, faculty, and staff may also review checkouts and renew materials online using the "My Account" feature within IUCAT. Detailed instructions, including screenshots, for how to renew materials within IUCAT are available on our Renew Library Materials Web page.

Please Ask A Librarian or contact the Circulation/Reserves service desk if you'd like assistance renewing your library material(s).
